Used Electric Vehicle Credit Key Rules
A separate credit may apply to a used EV purchased from a dealer, often up to 4000 or 30 percent of the sale price, whichever is lower. The used vehicle must meet age and price limits, and the buyer must meet income limits. Private party sales typically do not qualify, and the same buyer usually cannot claim it repeatedly.
